To add to the picture, J.K Rowling’s first Harry Potter manuscript was rejected by twelve publishers, Van Gogh only sold one painting in his life and it was sold to a friend for very little money and Elvis was told after one performance that ” he aint goin’ nowhere”.
Despite their rejections and failures these people came to be known as some of the best in their field. Elvis is the undisputed king of rock and roll, Rowling became the only person to ever become a billionaire by writing books and Einstein was awarded the nobel prize for physics. Everybody has heard songs by the Beatles and watched a Disney movie. All of them have become household names.
I wonder if the people who rejected them regretted it. Most probably would have, seeing their success but some may have even been stubborn enough to maintain that they aren’t that great. I guess all that I can say is never give up and ” If you’ve never failed you’ve never tried anything new”.
